Requirements
A candidate for a Police Officer position with the Pampa Police Department must:
- be at least 21 years old;
- have a high school diploma or equivalent, 45 hours of college preferred;
- pass a written exam, oral interview, and extensive background investigation;
- pass a physical and psychological exam along with a pre-employment drug screen;
- be of excellent moral character;
- reside in Pampa , or be able to move within a thirty minute response time area (time allowed to comply)
- possess a Texas driver's license and have an excellent driving record; and
- possess a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) license, basic or higher.
