For Immediate Release:

Pampa PD and other City employees demonstrate the meaning of Christmas.

Pampa Police Department and other City employees pull together, with area business's, to help out a family in need during the holidays.

During the latest cold spell Pampa PD personnel got information that there was a local family in need. The family did not have any heat inside the residence. The family included a mother, father and 3 children (information on family withheld at their request). Officers began pulling together and then got several organizations and business's involved. Frank's True Value of Pampa was able to assist in providing a wall heater and hot water heater. Officers Dave Thomas, Neal Gardner and Civilian Investigator Tony Zavala made arrangements to get the items installed. Atmos Energy was able to inpect and turn the natural gas on. Tralee Crisis Center assisted the family in provided space heaters and blankets during the install process. The Good Sam “Joys” and Red Cross provided food for the family. Wal-Mart, The Harvest House and other anonymous contributors gave money to the family. Pampa Student Crime Stoppers contributed coats and clothing for the children.

During this time of year we all have to pull together and help each other out. We especially have to look out for our future – Our Children.
