Pampa Police arrest two after late night fight

At around 03:45 A.M. on Thursday (3/13/2008) officers were dispatched to 516 N. Frost in regards to a fight in progress. Upon arrival they observed a Gray 2005 Ford Expedition attempting to leave the scene. Officers stopped the vehicle. Upon further investigation both occupants of the vehicle were arrested. Gustavo Pena Jr. age 34 of Pampa was charged with Assault causing bodily injury after David Farrar age 45 of 516 Frost reported that Pena struck him on the left side of his face and ear. The passenger 19 year old Thalia Rodriguez of Pampa was taken into custody on a runaway pickup order out of Travis County that was over two years old. Officers conducting a search of the vehicle, prior to impoundment, found narcotics under the passenger seat. Both, Pena and Rodriguez, were then charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance over two grams but less than 400 grams, a 2 nd degree Felony. Punishment could range from two to twenty years in the state penitentiary and a fine of up to $10,000. The case has been turned over to the PPD Criminal Investigations Division for follow-up.
