Pampa Police kept busy over the weekend with 187 calls for service      

PAMPA , TEXAS

Pampa Police responded to 187 calls for service ranging from basic information calls to an Aggravated Robbery. These are just a few that police need your help in catching the people who committed these crimes.

On Saturday, April 5, 2008, at 10:28 A.M., officers were dispatched to 525 W. Brown (Stokes Radiator and Muffler Service) in regards to a Theft. Officers were told that a flat bed trailer with a welder attached was taken. The owner told police that the trailer had a Mertex Welder, Victor Torch, hoses and gages along with other hand tools were on the trailer. The trailer and tools were valued at over $10,000.00.

On Saturday, April 5, 2008 at around 8:34 P.M., officers were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Supercenter located at 2801 Charles in reference to a theft and the suspects were still at the store. Upon arrival officers meet with store employees about the theft. Officer Houston Gass was the first to arrive on scene he was attempting to make contact with one of the suspects that was pointed out by store employees. As he approached the female subject she looked back at the officer and took off running. Officer Gass then pursued her on foot east bound across the parking lot and into the driveway area of the Murphy's gas station located at Charles and Perryton Parkway where he was able to apprehend the suspect. The female was then identified as Kamisha Grimes age 24 of Pampa. Two other females were also taken into custody and charged with theft. Shona Dorsey age 22 and Laura Delatorre age 22, both of Pampa along with Grimes were transported to Gray County Jail. Grimes were charged with the theft and evading police.

On Sunday, April 6, 2008 at around 12:08 A.M., officers were dispatched to 109 S. Lowry in reference to a reported stabbing. Upon arrival officer found Scott Hyde (age 37) of the residence in the entryway with stab wounds to his upper abdomen and left forearm. Hyde told officers that he came home to find several of his items in the middle of the entryway and the back door was open. He told police that as he went out the back door to investigate he was attacked by two men and a struggle occurred, which resulted in Mr. Hyde being stabbed. Subjects then fled the scene. He described the men as one being tall and the other being short. Both are believed to be white males. Hyde could not give any further description at the time of his interview. Hyde was transported by Ambulance to Pampa Regional Medical Center for non life threatening injuries. His condition is not known at press time.

Again on Sunday, April 6, 2008 at around 5:00 P.M., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of South Banks in reference to a burglary. Unknown subject(s) removed, from the residence, a handgun, several rifles and shotgun. Also taken was a wire feed welder and a few other personal items. The estimated loss is valued around $2,200.00.
